There is nothing quite like crisp ironed bedding and a smooth silky pillowcase to fall into at the end of a hard day. If you’re a lover of the fresh dry cleaners finish on your bedding and or clothing, then you definitely need to try ironing water.
What is Ironing Water?
Ironing Water is a highly concentrated liquid that can be added to your iron or steamer to give fabrics a nice finish and freshness. Ironing your silk pillowcases or other silk items is essential for maintaining the quality and smoothness of the silk. Ironing Water is a great addition to the ironing process as it gives the fabric a smooth and crisp finish and adds a fresh scent.
Our favourite it the Ironing Water by The Laundress. Its fragrance is a blend of lily of the valley and jasmine with sweet musk, sandalwood, and a touch of citrus. It is non-toxic, biodegradable and allergen free. As it is highly concentrated it can be used up to 64 times.

Step 1
Always check the care label to determine if it is iron safe and which iron settings are suitable.
Step 2
Turn your iron (or steamer) on and make sure the ironing surface is clean.
Step 3
Simply add one capful to water in your iron or 2 capfuls to water in a steamer.
